We’re so excited to be returning to the magnificent Metropolitan WaterWorks Museum in Chestnut Hill for a program we're keeping a secret until you come to the show. What we will tell you is that you will get to hear music written by Ludwig van Beethoven, Julius Eastman, Eric Nathan, Caroline Shaw, and Julia Wolfe.
The museum’s three original coal-powered, steam-driven water pumps are monuments to 19th century technology and serve as the gargantuan, three-story centerpieces of our evening in the Great Engines Hall. Grab a handcrafted cocktail served by our partners at Bully Boy Distillers and explore the museum’s exhibits and multitude of perfectly engineered parts that pumped millions of gallons of freshwater a day, all while surrounded by incredible music from some of Phoenix’s favorite composers.
Throughout the night music spanning three centuries will pop up around the museum, transforming your evening into an immersive escape of music and libations in an otherworldly space. We’ve catered the whole program to perfectly match the resonant acoustic that comes from the museum’s mammoth brick enclosure.
Don’t miss this truly one-of-a-kind experience!
