Phoenix’s Parlor Series re-imagines your favorite coffee shop or brewery completely transformed by a night of chamber music. We take the full Phoenix experience, distill it to the essentials, bring it out of the concert hall and into your favorite Boston locales. Get closer to the music than ever as small chamber groups present intimate, unforgettable shows with unexpected backdrops.
On May 3 we finish our Parlor Series season with a pair of firsts: The world premiere of the first commission from our partnership with the composition department at New England Conservatory, by composer Binna Kim, and our first ever performance in Boston’s Roslindale neighborhood. The world premiere by Binna Kim in joined by joyous and whimsical works by Carl Nielsen and Gioachino Rossini. Be sure to join us for our premiere concert at the WorkHub at the Roslindale Substation!
